Love Mexico is a unique, educational, and networking event developed by IADWP in partnership with the Mexico Tourism Board to showcase Mexico as a premiere destination for weddings, honeymoons, and romance. Hosted at our two co-host hotels, Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Occidental at Xcaret Destination in Riviera Maya, Love Mexico will bring Wedding Planners and Travel Agents from North America, with international business experience, for 4 days of educational sessions, networking events, and the opportunity to meet with the top suppliers in the industry including: beautiful destinations, the best hotels, and excellent service providers from Mexico. This event will enable all participants to be updated in the destination weddings business; and best of all, experience the Riviera Maya and Cancun, one of the best romance destinations in the world.

This 2-day program will include a 2-night stay at a Riviera Maya resort where you will have the opportunity to experience the resort as your clients do. A special group dinner will also be included. In addition, there will be a special ‘experience’ included that is unique to the destination.

Experiences will be assigned no more than 4 weeks prior to the start of Love Mexico and will be reserved based on a first registered, first choice basis.

As an internationally celebrated event planner and designer, David Caruso is known for the creativity, elegance and attention to detail that is evident in every event he designs. Caruso is extremely well known for producing elegant and elaborate events over the past 16 years since he’s been in business. He has transformed ballrooms into fantasy lands and backyards of private estates into magical expressions of his client’s style and personalities. Recently, David has produced events in Wisconsin, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, Scottsdale, San Diego, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the West Indies. David is also a professional speaker hired to present on the topics of weddings, lifestyle, business, design and more, having conducted speaking appearances all over the globe. David is a fixture on Milwaukee’s NBC show, “The Morning Blend”, presenting his popular “Entertaining in Style with David Caruso” segment. He has made guest appearances on television news and talk shows in Chicago, Phoenix, Denver and Washington DC as well as contributed to radio outlets nationwide. His work has been featured in key print publications including the nation’s leading bridal magazine, BRIDES Magazine, as well as Catering Magazine and others.


In 2018, David will launch two Designer Collections in partnership with BBJ Linen. The collections, Palm Beach Chic and Tuscano Vita, will be available for rent nationwide and include exclusive linens hand-selected and designed by David. David has served two terms as the President of the Southern Wisconsin Chapter of National Association for Catering and Events (NACE). With over 11 years experience as a travel agency owner, Margie Jordan is Vice President of Agency Education with CCRA Travel Commerce Network. Margie started her career as a marketing professional leading teams of creative professionals in the real estate industry. It wasn't long before Margie took her knowledge and built a successful travel agency in Jacksonville, FL. Known for being a social media guru, Margie is a frequent speaker for many industry conferences. In her role with CCRA, Margie leads the Agency Education initiative which includes 4,000+ travel agent members, Chapter and Regional Directors.​

STEPHEN “RABBI STEVE” SPIEGEL

For the last five years as a resident of Playa del Carmen, Mexico, Rabbi Steve has officiated hundreds of Destination Weddings. He is the only modern progressive Rabbi living full time in Mexico and his name has become synonymous with not only Destination Weddings, but also with other life-cycle events such as Destination Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and Destination Conversions as well. He has a background in marketing as well as business management in the not for profit sector, so his attention to detail as well as an ability to identify needs is fine tuned. Rabbi Steve brings his unique personality and sensitivity to each event gaining the respect and admiration of planners, coordinators, photographers and others. He is the co-founder of the Jewish and Interfaith Wedding Institute, granting certification through education to professionals in the wedding industry.

Entrepreneur, event planner, author, business consultant, wife, and mother of four, Susan Southerland is one of the foremost experts in the event industry today. Destination Management, and Just Celebrate! three brands that service events from intimate weddings to elaborate corporate functions. She applies her business savvy toward sharing tips and insights with new and established entrepreneurs throughout the world. BETHEL NATHAN

Bethel Nathan is a San Diego-based wedding officiant. She launched Ceremonies by Bethel in 2009, finding and enjoying a niche for non-religious and non-traditional couples, and quickly built a strong business and full calendar. In just eight years, Bethel went from a brand-new business to having done almost 800 weddings and selling out each year for the past five years, as well as winning key industry awards for every year since her launch. Combining her background working for both large and small companies, including nine years working for large investments banks around the globe, along with her passion and skillset, and strong support for marriage equality, Bethel found the right way to build a successful and award-winning business that fit her. And she now enjoys helping others across the country to do the same as a business coach and speaker. Bethel lives in San Diego with her husband, Jason, and they enjoy traveling and scuba diving in exotic places whenever possible.

TERRICA SKAGGS

Spreading her metropolitan style throughout the low country, Terrica Skaggs has been creating exquisite weddings and events in the Golden Isles area for the past ten years. Specializing in modern Southern weddings, she believes in creating custom experiences inspired by her clients’ love stories while infusing technology and efficiency. Selected as Jekyll Island's Dream Wedding Planner for its Dream Wedding Giveaway, Terrica’s weddings and expertise have been featured in The Knot, Southern Weddings, Munaluchi Bride, HLN tv, Style Me Pretty and a host of others. Launching her new education system, "The Art of Wedding Coordination" in Spring 2017, Terrica is an ardent educator of those in the wedding industry, believing in the "each one, teach one" mindset. As an avid lover of cake and champagne, you'll find her at home in the Golden Isles with her four “fabutots”, and when not entertaining family and friends, she’s frequently binging on RuPaul’s Drag Race and competition reality TV.

Tabitha has photographed weddings for the past 17 years in 14 different countries. She has been featured in over 24 different wedding magazines, from Grace Ormonde to Martha Stewart Weddings. Her photographs have graced the cover of 6 magazines and her clients include numerous celebrities from NBA players, UFC Champions and TV Hosts.  When she is not photographing weddings, she is known as the "Social Media Diva", and enjoys teaching wedding professionals how to grow their business profits using Social Media.

AMARJIT KESHAV

She was born in Uganda East Africa, to Indian parents who struggled to make a life for themselves away from India. She grew up there in a very diverse community. At the age of seven her family moved to England and they began a new life there.


Her parents worked extremely hard to make a living and raise their nine children. She grew up with people from all nationalities, walks of life and backgrounds. She loved learning about her culture and went to college to learn languages. After marrying her husband who was in the British air-force they moved to the USA. They lived in Los Angeles and now in Tennessee; they began learning about the travel industry and have raised three children. For the last thirteen years she has been in the travel industry, her biggest accomplishment has been winning the top award for Palace resorts (2017) for top producer for Mexico over other agents in Canada/USA/UK/Europe and South America.

She has won several other awards from Karisma resorts as well as Palace resorts, over the years. What makes her unique is that she takes the time to listen to her clients which is the key component to a successful destination wedding or honeymoon. She is diverse and can work with any culture due to the way she was raised.


ADRIANNE HARRIS

Wedding Business Designer and Planner of celebratory events that make your heartbeat; Adrianne Harris captures the essence of her clients heart and transforms the ordinary into lifelong joyous experiences.


Well known for her exquisite detailing and sparkling sense of style, she is the Creative Director and owner of Blessed Events NY. Well respected within the wedding events industry and acknowledged as the 7th Avenue Event Designer by her clients, students, and industry colleagues alike. She honed her skills as a fashion designer for many years within the heart of New York city’s fashion district and has an effortless gift for infusing couture fashion styling into every event which has become her signature.


Adrianne has designed for renowned design houses such as; Jones New York; Donna Karan; and Carmen Marc Valvo; also hailing as an alumna of the Fashion Institute of Technology. Ten years ago Adrianne pursued her love for both fashion and wedding planning which has proved to be a natural fit within the events industry and her entrepreneurial business.
Breaking into a personal branded business designing meaningful events for illustrious clientele was a turning point as a result of Adrianne's clients desiring touches of refined luxury and exclusive atelier services. A turning point leading to a lifetime of “ ah.mazing ” memories for her clients.

CAROLINE BELGRAVE

Who is she? That woman with the infectious giggle, wicked humor, devilish smile and boundless energy? Caroline Belgrave, CTA, CTIE, is a Business Development and Education Manager for Nexion®, a host agency with operations in both the United States and Canada. She is also the creator of the OneLove Wedding shows in Western Canada, an inclusive celebration of love.

Long before 2008 when Caroline entered the travel industry she had a passion for all things travel, social and romantic. This passion led to her certification as a Destination and Honeymoon Specialist, a South Asian Destination Wedding Specialist and a graduate of the Gay Wedding Institute.

She is a self-professed socialite (lover of all things social media) and the winner of the 2017 PaxNews Social Media Guru Award of Excellence. Authenticity is the soul of her teaching as a Social Media Coach and Manager. Having contributed to the Afro News Newspaper as well as being featured in Wedding Bells, Real Weddings and VanCity Bride she believes telling your authentic story is paramount in building valuable long-term client relationships.


ROLANDA CHAMBERS

ROLANDA CHAMBERS is the owner of Golden Voyage Travel, located in Owings Mills, Maryland. She has been in the business of selling travel for over ten (10) years. Rolanda is a member of NACTA and has been accredited by IATAN since 2016. Prior to becoming a travel agent, Rolanda enjoyed a lengthy career in the legal field, where she worked her way up from the position of administrative assistant to the position of paralegal. During her tenure, which ultimately spanned 28 years, Rolanda drafted several contracts, including employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, articles of organization or incorporation, business operating agreements, product placement agreements, and more. Rolanda currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland with her companion, Shaun. She has three adult children (John, Stacie and Jeremy) and one grandson (Brandon). She is also a licensed security guard, with security credentials in both the State of Maryland and the State of Texas.
